Singtel announces leadership changes

In an effort to enhance its digital strategy,Singtel Group has announced changes to its leadership team.

The telecommunications company has appointed Lim Cheng Cheng, who is the Group's current deputy CFO as the new Group CFO.

In her new role, Lim will be responsible for all finance related functions.

Additionally, Jeann Low, current Group CFO, has been appointed as the new Group chief corporate officer.

In her new role, Low will be overseeing the Group's corporate functions. This includes the Group's "strategy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate communications, legal, regulatory and procurement," a statement said.

Singtel also announced it was making changes to the leadership structure at Group Digital Life, which was set up in 2012 to drive Singtel’s efforts to capture opportunities in the digital world.

Current managing director of Digital Enterprise, Samba Natarajan, will be taking on the role of CEO of Group Digital Life.

He will be responsible for building on Singtel's innovation capabilities to capture digital opportunities in both consumer and enterprise segments.

Relinquishing his role as CEO Group Digital Life, Jonathan Auerbach will remain associated with the company as chairman of HOOQ and director of Amobee.

"Cheng Cheng and Samba bring tremendous experience. We welcome them to our senior executive team. Jonathan has played a key role in sharpening the Group’s digital strategy and will continue to be a strong advocate for Singtel. He plans to move back to the US," Chua Sock Koong, Singtel Group CEO said.
