Selangor declares 30 June an additional holiday for civil servants

This falls a day after Hari Raya Haji, and is specific only to all civil servants in state government departments and agencies as well as state local authorities.

The Selangor State Government announced on Tuesday (27 June 2023) that 30 June (Friday) will be an additional day of holiday for civil servants that fall under its administration. 

This will be in accordance with the Holidays Act 1951 (Act 369), and is specific to all civil servants in state government departments and agencies as well as state local authorities only, it was stated.

Meanwhile, statutory bodies, state government subsidiaries, and private parties are not subject to this directive, and it is up to their respective employers in accordance with the Employment Act 1955 (Act 265). 

At the time of writing, no other State government has made such announcements.
