Polycom names new regional managing director

Polycom has appointed Chua I-Pin as the managing director for Southeast Asia. His appointment took effect from 20th May, according to a press release by the company.

In this role, Chua will be responsible for driving the company's profitable growth, along with making Polycom's vision of the "Workplace of the Future" a reality in the region.

"I am delighted that I-Pin has joined Polycom’s strong Asia Pacific leadership team, to further boost our operations in the region, and provide a greater focus on responding to and addressing the business needs of our customers in Southeast Asia," Geoff Thomas, president of Polycom Asia Pacific said.

"The SEA region is a strategically important market for us as we forecast new opportunities, particularly in emerging markets such as Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam," he added.

Chua was previously the area vice president, Asia South, at CA Technologies.

He commented on his appointment, "Better productivity and team collaboration across borders continues to be a priority across several industries."

"There are great opportunities across multiple verticals in SEA for Polycom and our partners, as organisations look to implement smarter, and more efficient ways of working."
