The hub will oversee Pandora’s Asia Cluster, bringing together around 50 staff across branding, marketing, market development, and operations.
Pandora has officially opened its new regional headquarters in Singapore as the jewellery brand looks to strengthen its presence across Asia, according to an announcement on Economic Development Board’s (EDB) website.
The new headquarters will oversee Pandora’s Asia Cluster, covering a mix of owned-and-operated stores and distributor markets across the region.
The move comes as Pandora continues to build its presence in both established markets and emerging territories across Asia.
Berta de Pablos-Barbier, CEO, Pandora said the region remains an opportunity for the company, with its growth journey still at an early stage in many markets.
She added that being closer to markets, partners and consumers would help Pandora better understand the diversity of the region while building the capabilities needed for its longer-term plans.
Singapore hub brings together around 50 staff
Located in Marina Bay, the new regional headquarters brings together around 50 people in functions including branding and marketing, market development, and operations.
Overall, Pandora currently employs more than 800 people across its offices and retail operations in Asia, alongside more than 12,000 artisans at its crafting facilities. The company also operates more than 200 owned-and-operated stores across the region.
Pandora cites Singapore’s talent pool
Pandora selected Singapore as the home of its Asia headquarters for its strategic connectivity, business environment, and access to a diverse talent pool.
Pablos-Barbier said: "Its international outlook, openness and ability to bring together talent, cultures and ideas from across the region are tremendous strengths," while thanking thanked EDB for its partnership and support in establishing the new regional base.
Jermaine Loy, Managing Director, EDB said: “Singapore’s connectivity, talent and deep links across the region provide a strong base for Pandora to build its regional capabilities and serve Asia’s diverse markets.”
The headquarters will also create opportunities for Singaporeans to take on regional roles and build their experience, he added.
