During this period, retail prices per litre for petroleum products will drop to RM2.64 for non-subsidised RON95, RM3.27 for RON97, and RM3.06 for diesel in Peninsular Malaysia.
The Malaysian government has announced a two-cent reduction in the retail prices of non-subsidised RON95, RON97, and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia from 11 December 2025 to 17 December 2025.
Using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, retail prices for petroleum products from 11 December 2025 to 17 December 2025 are:
- RON97 petrol falls by 2 sen to RM3.27 per litre;
- Non-subsidised RON95 petrol falls by 2 sen to RM2.64 per litre;
- Subsidised RON95 petrol under BUDI95 remains at RM1.99 per litre;
- Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia falls by 2 sen to RM3.06 per litre; and
- Diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remains at RM2.15 per litre.
"The Government will continue to review and adjust petrol RON95, RON97 and diesel retail prices in line with movements in the current global oil markets. Even so, price stability remains the foremost priority," the Ministry of Finance Malaysia stated.
This announcement follows recent enhancements to the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) subsidy, particularly for e-hailing and airport taxi drivers. Additionally, eligible Malaysians working in Singapore who hold a Singapore driving license can now benefit from the RON95 petrol subsidy.
