Non-managerial employees will see salaries increase by 2.05% to 6.15% this year, while high performers will receive a special bonus.
MTR Corporation has announced an increase in salaries for non-managerial employees, ranging from 2.05% to 6.15% this year, depending on their performance. High performers will also receive a special bonus.
On the other hand, a discretionary bonus equivalent to 1.55 to 2.22 months of basic salary subject to individual performance, as well as a one-time special award equivalent to 0.45 months' salary in celebration of its 45th anniversary for all employees, will also be granted.
As cited from the local news reports, MTR said it would prudently consider the company's performance, the market and economic environment, salary trend survey results, and employee contributions based on the current pay review mechanism to determine the pay adjustment rates annually. The company would also review the relevant employee allowances and benefits from time to time.
Among the enhancements to benefits and allowances introduced this year, one prominent addition will be the '1+1' free ride offer. As an extended benefit beyond the existing ones to the family members of MTR staff, eligible single/unmarried colleagues may nominate a relative or friend to enjoy the free ride on MTR using an Octopus card under the new introduction.
In response to HRO, MTR said this demonstrates its commitment to enhancing employee engagement and being an inclusive and family-friendly employer.
