The Ministry of Manpower has embarked on the second phase of reviews of the Employment Act (EA) and the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act (EFMA).
Phase two of the review period aims to gather public feedback on topics such as further protection for vulnerable workers, particularly those in non-traditional work arrangements, as well as additional protection for low-wage workers.
MOM is also looking into the circumstances under which foreign workers could be allowed to change employers.
This is the first major review of the EA since 2008.
