Initially, the compulsory eVISA could be applied for from any country except Malaysia, Singapore, Israel, and North Korea.

Following an earlier announcement on 10 January 2023, Malaysia's MYVisa system (eVISA) is now available to be accessed in Singapore.

Initially, the compulsory eVISA, which was extended to all respective nationalities effective 15 November 2021, could be accessed from any country except Malaysia, Singapore, Israel, and North Korea. The Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) has since opened up the system for access in Singapore, per an update on 27 March 2023 (Monday).
