The global ingredient manufacturer’s new Kuriosity Centre will bring research, technical expertise, business operations and customer-facing teams together to support its business units across the region.
Global ingredient manufacturer Kemin Industries has broken ground on its new Kuriosity Centre at its Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Singapore.
The four-story facility represents an investment of approximately US$35mn and is expected to accommodate more than 140 employees. It will bring together research, technical expertise, business operations and customer-facing capabilities, supporting collaboration across Kemin’s Asia Pacific business units.
The development will occupy 5,880sqm and have a proposed gross floor area of around 9,685sqm. A covered bridge will link the new building to Kemin’s existing campus.
Kemin said the integrated site is intended to support cross-functional working, employee development, and engagement with customers and business partners. The company has operated in the region for nearly 40 years and established its permanent Singapore presence 33 years ago.
Dr Chris Nelson, President and CEO, Kemin Industries, said the project reflects the company’s continued commitment to the region.
“Today, we build on that legacy and lay a foundation for the future — a place where curiosity is translated into science, and science into practical solutions for the industries that protect the health and safety of people, pets, and production animals,” he said.
The project is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). Lim Wey-Len, Executive Vice President, EDB, said the centre will bring together Kemin’s regional business functions and support its work in animal nutrition and food technology.
Adding her views, Christine Wong, Assistant CEO, JTC, highlighted that the development marks the next stage of Kemin’s growth in Asia Pacific and will contribute to the company’s capability-building activities in Singapore.
Once completed, the Kuriosity Centre will provide additional space for Kemin’s regional teams and support its research, technical, and business operations across Asia Pacific.
