HR Vendors of the Year 2016 to name Asia’s best training specialists

To build and sustain a high-performance culture, HR departments require substantial support from training & development experts. The hard work and dedication of Asia’s top training providers will be recognised at the HR Vendors of the Year Awards 2016.

The HR Vendors of the Year Awards, the only regional awards programme dedicated to recognising and celebrating the achievements of HR product and services providers, is happening in Singapore on 24 November, in Malaysia on 29 November, and in Hong Kong on 1 December.

According to Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine, the training and development category will shine a spotlight on the most innovative training gurus and consultants in the region. "An effective training and development strategy touches on talent, knowledge and skill, which are the components this year’s jury will most likely look for," she said.

Last year, the HR Vendors of the Year Awards in Singapore gave the gold award for Best Management Training Provider to Cegos, silver to DDI and MHI, and bronze to the Centre of Executive Education (CEE) and the Singapore Institute of Management. The Best Team Building Training Provider gold award went to Focus Adventure while the silver was awarded to Grinnes. The awardees of the Best Sales Training Provider award were Cegos, which accepted the gold award, MHI for silver, and the Marketing Institute of Singapore and Momenta for bronze.

In Malaysia, Leaderonomics led the recipients of the Best Management Training Provider award with the gold award at the HR Vendors of the Year 2015 in Kuala Lumpur. The silver trophy was awarded to Right Management and the bronze award to Neville Clark. The Best Team Building Training Providers award recipients were D Jungle People, which took home the gold prize, Lawrence Walter, which grabbed the silver award, and Fish Camp Learning, which received the bronze award.

In Hong Kong, the HR Vendors of the Year 2015 named Sandler Training as the gold recipient of the Best Management Training Provider award. Next to Sandler Training were Team Building Asia, which won the silver prize, and Asia Corporate Training, which won the bronze prize. Teambuilding Asia also topped the Best Team Building Training Providers award recipients with the gold award and was followed by Hong Kong Disneyland and Total Loyalty, which shared the silver prize, and StrengthsAsia, which brought home the bronze trophy. For the Best Sales Training Provider award, Sandler Training landed on the top spot with gold, MHI snapped up silver, and Oliver James Associates accepted the bronze award.

“Training and development is one of the most critical categories because developing staff is often considered the heart of leadership,” said Evon Yew, regional producer at Human Resources magazine. “The company that wins this category is the go-to firm in terms of boosting employees’ job performance and career growth.”
