HR Practitioner Appointments

Telstra promotes Lynne Barry to global head of learning and developmentIn her new role, Barry will be supporting the learning for 36,000 people across 23 countries. This includes Telstra's leadership and high potential programmes, and the full spectrum of the company's  professional and technical learning and development. She will continue to be based in Hong Kong.

Jackel Ki joins FonterraBased in Hong Kong, Jackel Ki is now Fonterra's senior HR business partner, HK and TW with effect from April. She was previously the HR manager at Richemont. She has 10 years of working experience in HR.

Mylan Laboratories appoints new head of rewardsEffective March 2016, Gurpreet Singh is part of Mylan Laboratories as head of rewards.  In his new role, Singh is responsible for the overall strategy, design and stakeholder management of the total rewards portfolio for India and the emerging markets region. He operates from India.

Packet One Networks welcomes senior principal change management & organisational capabilitiesThe appointment of Christopher Chew came in effect from April 2016. Based in Malaysia, Chew has more than two decades or experience in using technology in training. He specialises in using technologies assisted methodologies in enhancing current training deliveries for greater effectiveness.

HR head of Sun Pharma in Malaysia resignsAfter nearly two years as director & head of human resource, Asia Pacific and Latin America at the pharmaceutical company, Rich Fozi has decided to take a break from his career. He is currently the executive director and CEO of BOLDRICH.

Maersk Line announces a new chief human resources officerUlf Hahnemann, current vice president for strategic programmes at Mars will join Maersk Line as chief human resources officer and be part of the management board of Maersk Line with effect from August 1, 2016. He will succeed Michael Chivers who resigned in January 2016 and operates from Denmark.

Nike promotes Priscilia YapWith effect from April 2016, Priscilia Yap was appointed mobility consultant, Asia Pacific. She had been with the company's since mobility team since 2011.  She will continue to be based in Singapore.

Artemis Xu takes on a more senior role at ImagineX GroupAfter five plus years as senior HR officer, Artemis Xu's promotion to HR assistant manager was made official in April 2016. She is working from China.

Quandoo strengthens talent acquisition teamIn his new role as talent acquisition, Quandoo APAC, Gary Chan will handle talent acquisition efforts such as identifying talents for the office across the Asia Pacific region. He will continue to be based in Singapore.

Japan Tobacco International hires talent development managerIn her new role,  Shawn Wong Hua Sion looks to lead the sales training department to develop and retain performers in various human capital aspects. Based in Malaysia, her appointment came into effect in April.

New head of HR at TripleWith effect from May, Shawn Tan will overlook the HR function of the company, with key focus on HR business partnering, compensation & benefits, talent management and provide leadership in human capital solutions to support/drive business growth. He will operate from Singapore.

Catherine Chiah joins KLArtWith effect from March 2016, Catherine Chiah is a business partner at KLArt. She joins the firm from QL Resources, where she was the HR manager. Based in Malaysia, she has 10 years of experience working in HR.

Nada George is now American Express' vice-president of HRWith effect from May, Nada George's official designation will be vice president, HR, Australia, NZ, Malaysia & the Philippines at American Express. George joined the company in 2012 as HR director - Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia.  He will continue to be based in Australia.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Life Master Consulting adds another member to its training teamWith effect from April 2016, Steven Leung was appointed training advisor at the company. Leung had been serving in the training sector since 2007. He is based in Hong Kong

Ayu Rahaman's new role at Kelly Services MalaysiaAyu Rahaman was hired as Kelly Services, Malaysia's engagement manager, contingent workforce with effect from April 2016.  She is put in-charge of managing the candidate engagement team for contingent workforce in Central Malaysia

Promotions at Korn Ferry Hay Group in Malaysia:

Shahrizal Mohd Suffian, who had been with the Hays Group since 2006, was named senior client partner with effect from May, 2016. He had held several positions within the group including managing consultant and director.

With effect from May 2016, Farouk Abdul Khalid was promoted to the position of principal. He was previously a senior consultant responsible for helping organisations to get their strategies implemented through intervention in organisation and people dimensions.

Dhamiri Petra has moved up from the role of associate consultant at Korn Ferry Hay Group to consultant with effect from May. He had been with the group since 2012.

BTI Consultants joins hands with Rizleen MustafaWith effect from May 2016, Rizleen Mustafa has been appointed consulting manager, talent management & leadership development, HR consulting. She brings with her more than 10 years of expereince in recruitment, and is based in Malaysia.

Santa Fe Relocation Services's Julie Phinn latest designationJulie Phinn was promoted to the position of branch manager with effect from May 2016.  She had been with Santa Fe since 2008. Prior to this she was the firm's assistant manager and is currently working in the Malaysia.

JOBDOH adds Ivan Poon to its corporate directoryBased in Hong Kong, Ivan Poon was hired by the HT-tech start-up as business development in April.  He had been in the human resources profession since 2011. He has also worked in firms such as Adecco.

Kelly Services delegates more responsibility to Prince JainHaving been promoted from the role of IT consultant to senior ICT consultant, Prince Jain brings with him 6 years of experience in global recruitment. Operating from Malaysia, his appointment came in effect in May 2016.

Sharon Gaury moves to Synchrony GlobalSharon Gaury was appointed senior HCM consultant with effect starting May 2016. Based in Malaysia, she has served as a SAP HR consultant for more than 12 years.

MAHSA University has a new deputy vice chancellor (corporate )Stella Lau has moved on from chief operating officer at Taylor's College to be the deputy vice chancellor (corporate) and group senior director, academic development and quality at MAHSA University. Her appointment came into effect in May.
