HR practitioner appointments

Joean Wong promoted to general manager, human resources Leighton Asia has recently appointed Joean Wong as its general manager, human resources. With close to 10 years of experience in HR, Wong has undertaken senior human resources executive positions in the Asia region. She also holds vast experience and exposure for the HR leadership/management  in MNCs including engineering consultants, financial services, professional accounting services, Information technology and FMCG companies. Her specialties include staffing, employee relations, coaching, career counselling, compensation and benefits, learning and development, due diligence and HR transformation. She is currently based in Hong Kong.

Elena Ievleva joins Phaidon International Phaidon International welcomes head of internal recruitment, operations manager, Elena Ievleva in October. Phaidon International exists to enable exceptional careers around the world; it connects exceptional talent, with exceptional opportunities. Prior to this, Ievleva was working with The Compliance Grid as a recruitment consultant. She started her HR career in 2014, where she was the search executive, headhunter at The Jace-Kelly Leadership Acquisitions. She continues to be based in Hong Kong.

Finian Toh promoted to director, human resources After serving as associate director at Kerry Consulting for nearly four years, Finian Toh has been promoted to director, human resources. Headquartered in Singapore since 2003, Kerry Consulting is a headhunting firm. The diverse clientele includes global and Asia-based companies. Kerry Consulting serves a multicultural client base that encompasses mature markets and emerging economies across Asia Pacific.

As a director, Toh brings a wealth of experience to his clients. He comes with industry experience in his respective verticals before joining the search industry. The Singapore based team is structured across both industry practice groups and functional areas.

HR solutions provider

Frederic Lievre joins Oakwood Asia Pacific Currently based in China, Frederic Lievre joins Oakwood Asia Pacific as its general manager. Oakwood Asia Pacific, a member of Oakwood Worldwide, manages  Asia's finest serviced apartments for business and leisure travelers in various countries including, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and more. Prior to this, Leivre was the general manager of Fosun Group where he re-developed the iconic Jiangxi Fairy Lake Resort Area by merging six companies owned by government and private entities into an efficient integrated management company. Not only that, his last role saw him undertaking complex project management to conceptualise, design, operate and market new leisure attractions, including three new island destinations and Albion Fairy Lake Resort & Spa.

Royston Tan to lead health and benefits business Willis Towers Watson recently announced the appointment of Royston Tan as head of health & benefits, Hong Kong and North Asia (excluding China). Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Cedric Luah, head of health and benefits, Asia and Australasia. Royston’s key responsibility will be to deliver the regional strategies of the Health & Benefits business in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. He will also build and strengthen client relationships by implementing Willis Towers Watson’s proprietary Health & Benefits Target Operating Model, as well as facilitate the development of client value propositions.

Crown Worldwide Group announces new head of Crown Relocations Sherry Liu has been appointed as group vice president, Crown Relocations. In her new capacity, she will be leading the development and implementation of Crown’s new propositions for the consumer market as part of Crown’s Customer for Life initiatives.This new role is directly linked to Crown Relocations’ strategic objectives as the company continues to drive towards its 2020 vision.

Sherry brings a strong background from within the business, joining Crown in 1999. During her tenure she has held sales and general management roles with increasing responsibilities spanning across the relocations, world mobility, records management and fine art businesses. She has been involved in bringing strategic global technology projects to life, providing superior value and convenience to its customers. Sherry is also a key member of the executive management group. She continues to be based in Hong Kong.

Hudson RPO appoints new director, client solutions Asia Hudson RPO has appointed Sid Suhas into the role of director, client solutions Asia. Suhas is responsible for the expansion of Hudson’s RPO business throughout Asia. He will lead the solution design process for clients by understanding the core recruitment challenges for HR leaders and their specific recruitment requirements. He will work with Hudson’s specialist RPO team to develop bespoke recruitment solutions that transform the organisation’s recruitment model.

Suhas has extensive experience in recruitment, leadership and business development. His most recent role was leading Hudson’s Hong Kong and Southern China recruitment business. Prior to that role, Suhas held a senior leadership role in Hudson’s Singapore recruitment business.

Kelly Services promotes Venus Chung Venus Chung has been recently promoted to consultant at Kelly Services. In her new role, she is specialised in distribution, she will be recruiting professionals from agency, bancassurance and broker channels. In partnership with its clients and candidates, Kelly Services provide tailor-made and quality manpower solutions to each individual. Chung joined Kelly Services in 2016 and continues to be based in Hong Kong.

Aisling Consulting welcomes two new members Starting in October 2017, Rajiv Bhatia is executive director, at Aisling Consulting - an outsourcing company under the Aisling Group. Rajiv comes with over a decade of recruitment experience in the local and regional markets. Prior to joining Aisling Consulting, he was director for outsourcing services at Kelly Services. In his new role, his primary focus is to drive the business forward to increase the company’s footprints across emerging markets. Other than that, Rajiv has also worked with Manpower Group, Randstad Group & Allegis Group, He continues to be based in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Arzel Ramos has recently joined Aisling Consulting in Malaysia as business lead for their ICT business division. Coming with more than a decade of work experience, her current role will see her managing the information technology team across Malaysia. Specialising in recruiting niche technical roles within the IT industry, she will continue to provide solutions and market analytics to clients. Arzel was previously working with Kelly Services Malaysia for close to three years where she served as a senior technical consultant. She is currently based in Malaysia.
