How Google, Maybank and PwC are winning the war for talent

Recruitment Asia, the only regional recruitment and talent acquisition strategy conference in Asia, has confirmed the HR profession’s most respected recruitment experts to share their challenges and best practices when fighting the war for talent. HR leaders from respected employers, Google, Maybank and PWC are the latest professionals to join Recruitment Asia’s stellar speaker list.

Organised by Human Resources, Recruitment Asia 2016 is a two-day conference happening in Singapore on 1-2 November and on 15-16 November in Kuala Lumpur.

As Google’s head of talent and outreach programmes, Daniel Wasik, manages the company’s campus and university outreach activities while supervising a team of more than 40 recruiters and university specialists. Wasik is Google’s de-facto APAC staffing leader as well as the company’s recruitment and industry programmes leader. Before Wasik joined Google, he worked for seven years in Cisco leading recruitment strategy across all jobs functions within the organisation. He also led recruiters responsible for delivery across APAC and EMEA.

Nora Abd Manaf is known for her world-class leadership skills which led to her inclusion in the global HR 50 world top 50 human resources professionals list in 2013. Manaf, Maybank’s group chief human capital officer, is in charge of leading the bank’s people transformation programme. She is also actively engaged in Malaysia’s financial and business employers’ circles in roles which include chairman of the Malayan Commercial Banks’ Association, chairman of the Human Resource Management and Development Group under the sponsorship of IBBM and Bank Negara Malaysia, and vice-president and council member of the Malaysian Employers Federation.

With over 20 years of HR experience, Salika Suksuwan is passionate about talent diversity, employer branding, and developing an agile workforce. Her current role as PwC’s human capital leader involves leading a team of energetic HR professionals. As a diversity advocate, she works closely with different HR leaders to help increase the participation rate of women in the workforce. Suksuwan has also become part of various HR projects and initiatives, with assignments in Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok while working in professional services firms and in the financial services sector.
