DoorDash to wind down Deliveroo and Wolt operations in Singapore and three other markets

The food delivery provider will exit Singapore, Qatar, Japan, and Uzbekistan after a strategic review, as it refocuses on markets with stronger long-term growth potential.

DoorDash has announced plans to wind down operations under its Deliveroo and Wolt brands in four countries — Singapore, Qatar, Japan, and Uzbekistan.

The US-based company said it will begin an “orderly wind-down process” in each market, working closely with local teams and partners to manage the transition for employees, merchants, consumers, riders, and couriers.

Multi-month review led to exit decision

According to DoorDash, the exits reflect its strategy to focus on on markets where it sees the clearest path to sustainable scale and long-term leadership.

The company is also making limited operational changes in select locations, including investing in certain engineering roles in the United Kingdom. DoorDash added that these actions are not expected to materially affect its financial outlook, and the guidance issued on 18 February 2026 remains unchanged.

Miki Kuusi, Head of DoorDash International, CEO of Deliveroo, and Co-founder of Wolt, acknowledged the difficulty of the decision.

"We’ve made the difficult decision to wind down operations in Qatar, Singapore, Japan, and Uzbekistan. Our priority is supporting our teams and partners through an orderly transition as we focus on the geographies where we can offer the best products and build for long-term success,” she shared.
