Better communication is the key to better benefits

Benefits programmes are hugely important for the effective attraction and retention of staff, but many organisations are still struggling to grasp the necessity to continuously update and communicate their policies.

A survey this year found companies in the Asia Pacific region need to improve their global benefits strategy and management practices, with 46% of respondents admitting they are only in the beginning stages of collating data for employee benefits management.

Additionally, the survey found poorly communicated benefits packages are often a big hurdle for employees who struggle to understand their benefits.

When this happens, not only are HR leaders less likely to meet employees needs as well as their own business objectives, but it also becomes a waste of time and resources pumped into ineffective compensation and benefits management.

It's for this reason that Benefits Asia Interactive 2014 will feature communication as a key round table discussion topic, where delegates can discuss their strategies with experienced HR thought-leaders and fellow practitioners.

Now in its third years, Benefits Asia Interactive is the region's most senior and highly attended compensation and benefits (C&B) conference.

It will also feature a panel session which will further expand on the topic of balancing of employee expectation, as well as other C&B talking points including salary reviews, staff retirement, non-cash rewards, and more.

Benefits Asia 2014 Interactive will be held on October 15th at the Singapore Marriott Hotel.
