Behind the scenes with TIME dotCom's Wan Ezrin

In this new section, Behind The Scenes, we get set to unveil our upcoming e-magazine to you, by bringing you a sneak peek of our exciting cover interview. For the Q1 edition of Human Resources Online, Malaysia, we hear from Wan Ezrin Sazli Wan Zahari, Chief People Officer, TIME dotCom.

A fan of embarking on the road less taken, this CPO advocates a unique cultural blend of lean, transparent and sincere leadership; minus all the office politics and power play.

As a sneak peek at what's to come, in this quick two-minute read, let's find out about Ezrin's non-HR passion. During the interview, we asked our cover interviewee, what he would have been doing if HR hadn't caught his fancy. His first response was a big laugh.

He then went on to reveal: "If I were suddenly out of this job and 'banned' from doing HR, maybe I’ll try my best to sell some really good nasi lemak. There is something about nasi lemak that I find very intriguing. It’s a simple dish – but is totally amazing.

"So if one can concoct the best coconut-milk-enduced, fluffy rice, with the most amazing fiery, tangy but sweet sambal (is your mouth watering yet?) and the respective key condiments that complete a plate of nasi lemak – that in my view, would be an awesome goal that would meet my personal expectations, for which when achieved, should deserve me a rating of 'outstanding' for my year’s performance in institutionalising the hobby of eating nasi lemak."

We hope that that description leaves you hungry for nasi lemak for lunch this afternoon, but also hungry to read the full interview coming up soon! If this has piqued your interest, keep an eye out for Human Resources Online’s Q1 2020 edition of the Malaysia magazine which will be dispatched to subscribers in the coming week.
