Airbus opens new Thailand office, home to Airbus Flight Operations Centre of Excellence

The new office brings together over 200 specialists to support Airbus' operations across the region. CAAT welcomes the move as a step towards strengthening Thailand’s position as an aviation hub.

On 23 May 2025, Airbus officially opened a new office in Bangkok, Thailand. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) congratulated the company on this move, calling it an important step towards strengthening the country’s aviation industry.

The new office brings together more than 200 specialists from 17 countries. These experts will support Airbus’ work across commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence, and space. It will also be home to the new Airbus Flight Operations Centre of Excellence, aimed at improving service delivery both in Thailand and across the region.

Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director-General of CAAT, said the presence of a company like Airbus in Thailand shows strong confidence in the country’s economic strength, location, and skilled workforce.

He also added: "Having Airbus’ headquarters in Thailand not only confirms Thailand’s role in the global aviation industry, but also provides us with an important boost to drive the country towards becoming a regional aviation hub in the near future."

CAAT also said it would continue to support partnerships between the public and private sectors to help grow the aviation industry in all areas.
