Aidilfitri 2026 financial aid: RM500 for eligible civil servants, RM250 for pensioners in Malaysia

The payout is scheduled for early March, benefitting civil servants in lower grades and government pensioners.

The Malaysia government has announced special financial assistance in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration in 2026, offering targeted financial support to civil servants and government pensioners.

Under the initiative, all civil servants in Grade 15 and below, including those on contract appointments, will receive a payment of RM500. Government pensioners, meanwhile, will be eligible for RM250.

According to the announcement, the special financial assistance will be distributed in early March 2026, ahead of the Aidilfitri celebrations.

Upcoming SARA payouts for Malaysians

Separately and as previously reported on HRO, the government is also continuing broader assistance efforts through the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) programme. Under this initiative, a RM100 assistance payout is set to be credited on 9 February 2026 for all Malaysians aged 18 and above. [Read the full update here]
