A toast to Indonesia’s best HR teams: HR Excellence Awards 2019

Two months away from the entry deadline on 26 September, the fierce competition for HR Excellence Awards, Indonesia is heating up!

If you are looking to stand out in the 29 categories, one of our esteemed judges, Dolphy Goveas, Head of Global HR Operations for Goodhope Asia Holdings, reveals it all to Priya Veeriah as they chat about the inaugural awards show.

Unlike any other, this is the best chance for us to celebrate YOU! We hope this read will encourage you to put your brand in the spotlight, and gain the recognition you truly deserve.

Q What do you think of the HR transformation journey in Indonesia?

HR in Indonesia is on a transformational path from the typical industrial relations. It is slowly and steadily moving towards business partnering and this change has already started but the speed is not as expected. Some industries have already realised the role of HR and its contribution to the company.

I strongly feel that HR leaders have a lot more to do to prove that they contribute to the organisation and increase the bottom-line growth of the business. One of the important factors where HR can create an impact is in talent management. When you speak to many senior HR leaders, their biggest concern is about the scarcity of trained talent, and how to attract the right talent. At Goodhope, we give lot of importance to attracting the right talent, and ensuring the talent is trained and retained.

HR Excellence Awards will be a platform for the Indonesian HR community to know about the best practices implemented by different companies across the company.

Q What sets the HR Excellence Awards apart?

HR Excellence Awards will be a platform for the Indonesian HR community to know about the best practices implemented by different companies across the company. This will also encourage the HR community and HR leaders to introduce these good practices in their own companies. It will help HR gain recognition for its contribution, while being appreciated by industry peers.

Q Why should one participate in the awards?

With Indonesia being the largest country in Southeast Asia, and since HR Excellence Awards is already well-established in Singapore and Malaysia, participation in the awards will really put you on par with many companies in the region. You can help raise the bar to a new level in the HR field and get yourself and your company recognised in the international arena.

Q How are you feeling ahead of the awards gala night?

It's really an honour for me to be an esteemed member of the jury for the first HR Excellence Awards 2019 in Indonesia. I am confident that this first step by Human Resources Online will encourage many HR leaders to highlight their current best HR practices which have helped them to make a difference in the organisation. This is also a celebration of HR's contribution to the business.

Be the first to download the entry guidelines and find out who else is participating from our Project Managers, Hemalatha Siranjeevi or Seraphine Neoh.

Mark 21 November in your calendar because we will see you in Jakarta for the awards gala night!
