Winners and photos: Asia Recruitment Awards 2017, Singapore

The night’s glittering awards ceremony saw Human Resources welcoming more than 200 esteemed guests at the Asia Recruitment Awards 2017, Singapore - the only regional recruitment awards show dedicated to recognising and celebrating the best in talent acquisition within Asia.

Held at ParkRoyal on Beach Road on 7 April 2017, the event saw Singapore’s best recruiters, both in-house and agencies, coming together to celebrate their wins across 24 categories. Organised by Human Resources magazine and produced by Evon Yew, here are the highlights from the awards.

With a total of seven trophies in the bag, SAP took home an eighth trophy as the Asia Recruitment Grand Winner 2017 - HR Team award - one of two coveted grand winner prizes of the night.

Leading up to this overall award, the German multinational software corporation won gold in three categories: Best Recruitment Evaluation Technique (where the silver went to Farrer Park Hospital and bronze to Manulife), Best On-Boarding Experience (where the silver and bronze went to Ambition Singapore and Tata Consultancy Services respectively), Best Recruitment Innovation By A Corporate HR Team (where Deloitte & Touche LLP took the silver, and INMOBI the bronze).

At the same time, SAP also won silver awards for these categories: Best Career Website By A Corporate HR Team (where the gold was clinched by Deloitte & Touche LLP), Best Candidate Experience by A Corporate HR Team (where the gold was won by Maybank), Best Regional Recruitment Programme (where gold went to American Express Global Business Travel, and bronze to Digital Alchemy), and Best Recruitment Advertising Strategy (where Certis CISCO took the gold, and Tata Consultancy Services the bronze).

The second coveted grand winner prize of the night - the Asia Recruitment Grand Winner 2017 - Recruitment Agency, went to Xpand Group who bagged a total of four awards leading up to this win.

Awards won by the recruitment agency included: gold for Best Candidate Experience by a Recruitment Agency (where silver went to Aspire, and bronze to Adecco Personnel), Best Recruitment Innovation by a Recruitment Agency (where ACI HR Solutions won silver, and Intellisearch HR Solutions bronze), and silver for Best Recruitment Agency (where ManpowerGroup Singapore got gold, and ScienTec Consulting got bronze.

Additionally, Kapil Chadha of Xpand Group was awarded the gold for Recruitment Consultant of the Year, while silver for the category went to Cecilia Sim of ScienTec Consulting, and bronze to Amos Tay of Hatch Asia.

Another big winner of the awards was OCBC Bank who walked away with two gold awards and a silver in the bag. The bank took home the gold award in the Best Staff Referral Programme category (where Thales Solutions Asia won silver and Cartus Corporation bagged bronze), as well as the Best Graduate Recruitment Programme category (where Maybank and Deloitte & Touche LLP won silver and bronze respectively).

OCBC Bank was also recognised in the Best In-House Recruitment Team of The Year category where it bagged the silver award (gold went to INMOBI, while bronze went to HP Inc).

A closely contested category was Best Use of Recruitment Technology where Tata Consultancy Services won gold, followed by Manulife with silver and GroupM Media India with bronze.

Other in-house recruitment teams that walked off with the judges’ recognition included: Dell (bronze for Best Diversity & Inclusion Strategy), GroupM Media India (bronze for Best Use of Recruitment Technology), IBM (gold for Best Employer Brand Development), Land Transport Authority (bronze for Best Employer Brand Development), Singapore General Hospital (gold for Best Diversity & Inclusion Strategy), and Vodafone Enterprise Singapore (silver for Best Diversity & Inclusion Strategy).

On the agency side, noteworthy mentions also went out to Archer Recruitment (silver for Best New Recruitment Agency), Collars Consultancy (bronze for Best New Recruitment Agency), Elliott Scott HR (silver for Best Client Service), Huxley (bronze for Best Client Service), jobsDB Singapore (silver for Best Career Website By A Recruitment Agency), JobStreet.com (bronze for Best Career Website By A Recruitment Agency), Randstad Singapore (gold for Best Client Service), and SPACE EXECUTIVE (gold for Best New Recruitment Agency).
