Winners and photos: Asia Recruitment Awards 2017, Hong Kong

On 12 April Human Resources welcomed 200 esteemed guests to a glittering awards ceremony for the Asia Recruitment Awards 2017, Hong Kong - the only regional recruitment awards show dedicated to recognising and celebrating the best in talent acquisition within Asia.

Held at Hotel ICON, Hong Kong, the event saw the city's best recruiters, both in-house and agencies, come together to celebrate their wins across 28 categories. Organised by Human Resources magazine and produced by Sanna Lun, here are the highlights from the awards.

DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited took home the award for Grand Winner 2017 - In-house, after having collected trophies in four different categories throughout the night. The company was awarded the gold for Best Use of Digital Media, Best On-boarding Experience, Best Staff Referral Programme, and Best Mobile Experience - Corporate HR Team.

Commenting on their success, Sharon Cheng, managing director and head of human resources for Hong Kong and China, DBS Bank (Hong Kong), said: "These awards are a great encouragement to us as they reflect our dedication in offering better candidate and employee experiences. This shows our investment in digitising the end-to-end recruitment process is bearing fruit."

The second grand prize of the evening went to ACI HR Solutions, who won the award for Grand Winner 2017 - Recruitment Agency. Leading up to the big win, the company had collected the gold for Best Mobile Experience - Recruitment Agency, gold for Best Recruitment Innovation - Recruitment Agency, and bronze for Best Career Website - Recruitment Agency.

Katherine Fan from Morrison & Foerster was honoured with the award for In-House Recruitment Professional of the Year, while Tracy Peng from Connectus Group was crowned Recruitment Consultant of the Year.

Both Manulife International and Links International demonstrated the value of good team work and were awarded In-house Recruitment Team of the Year and Recruitment Team of the Year, respectively.

For the first time since its conception, this year the awards accepted entries from China, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan, making the event bigger and more competitive than ever. Some of the companies benefitting from the wider scope were Sands China Ltd. (gold, Best Recruitment Innovation - Corporate HR Team), and DFS Cotai Limitada (silver, In-house Recruitment Team of the Year).
