Up the ranks: Sushil Baveja undertakes CHRO role for Jindal Stainless

He is responsible for driving people strategy, enhancing workplace culture, strengthening talent management, and enriching the organisation’s growth.

Sushil Baveja has undertaken the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at India-based stainless steel manufacturer, Jindal Stainless, effective 3 January 2023.

Based in Delhi/Gurugram, he joins the conglomerate with three decades of experience, and is responsible for driving people strategy, enhancing workplace culture, strengthening talent management, and enriching the organisation’s growth.

Speaking on the appointment, Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless said, "Our organisation is differentiated by its focus on customer satisfaction, creativity and innovation, and learning agility. We thus want to keep attracting the right talent and retaining high performers. I am confident that Mr Baveja will be the driving force helping both the organisation and its people thrive."

Baveja's past tenures include Indian and multinational organisations such as DCM Shriram, Alcatel, Cadbury India, and Gillette India, among others.

Talking about his new role, Baveja shared: "The company is currently going through a very exciting phase in terms of business expansion and people practices. I am looking forward to propelling its growth story further."

Founded by OP Jindal in 1970, Jindal Stainless has two stainless steel manufacturing complexes in India, in the states of Haryana and Odisha, with an overseas unit in Indonesia. It has a country-wide network of 10 sales offices in India with 12 global offices across the world.
