Up the ranks: Hisense brings Kamalika Deka on board to lead HR and administration

She steps into the team with more than 16 years in the HR domain, wherein previously she has had a stint with VisionSpring as Director of HR & Admin Services.

Hisense, a manufacturer of consumer electronics and home appliances headquartered in China, has appointed Kamalika Deka (pictured above) as Director HR & Administration, and Head of Department (HOD), as well as inducted her into the company's leadership team.

She steps into the team with more than 16 years in the HR domain, wherein previously she has had a stint with VisionSpring as Director of HR & Admin Services. She has also tenured with Nicobar Design, Domino’s India, Titan Company, and Apollo Hospitals enterprise, as well as was recently awarded the 'T A PAI Young HR Leader 2022' prize.

On her appointment, she said: "I am excited to be a part of Hisense and to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and dedicated team. I believe that HR plays a crucial role in driving the success of any organization, and I am committed to helping Hisense India attract, retain, and develop top talent."

In addition to Deka's appointment, Hisense has also welcomed Vipin Yadav as Director Marketing and HOD. He comes to the role with over 15 years of marketing and brand management experience across OPPO Mobiles India, Aquionics Developments India, Wellspring Healthcare, Religare Enterprises, and Fullerton India (Temasek Holding, Singapore).  

Welcoming the two new leaders, Steven Li, MD of Hisense India, said, "Their talent, experience, and expertise will undoubtedly be invaluable in driving growth and success for our company."

Hisense, the maker of TV, smartphones, commercial displays, refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners, among other products, currently has a global workforce of over 90,000, and crossed sales revenue of CNY 175.50bn in 2021. Globally, Hisense has established 38 overseas companies, 29 industrial parks and 20 R&D centres.
