Up the ranks: BreadTalk Group calls on Juliette Lim as Group Head of HR

Effective 28 February 2022, she leads the HR, training, and administration functions globally.

BreadTalk Group has appointed Juliette Lim as Group Head of HR with effect from 28 February 2022. In this role, she leads the HR, training, and administration functions globally; and reports to Cheng William, Group Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Commenting on her appointment, COO Cheng told HRO: "We are happy to have Juliette on board and I welcome her to our big family. At BreadTalk Group, we are always working to build a strong, passionate, and communicative team, and we believe that Juliette fits right in with us."

He added: “We are definitely looking forward to the HR transformation that Juliette can bring to the organisation and our team is eager to grow with her. Together, we can reach greater heights and create value for the organisation."

New HR leader Juliette brings more than 20 years of HR leadership experience to this assignment, including heading the overall talent strategy in Wharf Hotels Management as well as leading talent management and organisational culture transformation for more than 50 hotels in Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific.

On her appointment, she said: "I am extremely honoured and excited to join a well-established home-grown brand with a distinctive presence in 15 international markets including the Middle East and Europe.

"Together with my team of aspiring HR members, we will drive and reinforce our 'people first' core values through a robust 360 talent strategy framework. We shall create a rewarding long-term career for our employees and build a sustainable talent pipeline across regions to encourage development and growth for everyone within the organisation."

In her previous roles, Lim has been credited with several HR accolades in the areas of employer branding, recognised as an employer of choice, and more. She has also been recognised as ‘Hotelier of the Year’ in 2018, as well as featured among the top 100 global HR leaders in 2019 as well as gained recognition among HR’s ‘hot list’ in 2021.
