The search for Asia’s best regional recruitment programmes

Recruiting the right people is harder than ever today as the talent market becomes increasingly competitive. That is why the Asia Recruitment Awards, Asia’s only regional awards show dedicated to recognising and celebrating the best in talent acquisition, will put the spotlight on the most innovative recruitment programmes initiated by leading HR teams and recruitment agencies.

The Asia Recruitment Awards, a premier event that rewards excellence in HR recruitment, is happening in 2017 in Kuala Lumpur on 31 March, Singapore on 7 April, and Hong Kong on 12 April.

According to Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine, the category for the best recruitment programme aims to recognise creative and efficient strategies in talent search and acquisition. “The Asia Recruitment Awards judges will also review how groups have achieved hiring objectives, selected the right talent, and met global recruitment standards.”

Last year’s winners of the Best Regional Recruitment Programme at the Asia Recruitment Awards - Singapore were SAP for the gold prize, ANZ Bank for the silver award, and the bronze prize was shared by GroupM and Ericsson. For the Best Graduate Recruitment Programme award, Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore and Citibank both received the gold award. There were also two recipients for the silver award, the national water agency PUB and Deloitte, and the bronze award went to Parkway Pantai. The Best Staff Referral Programme winners were Certis Cisco for the gold award, Ericsson for the silver, and Manulife for the bronze.

GroupM took home the gold award for the Best Regional Recruitment Programme at the Asia Recruitment Awards - Malaysia in 2016. Maybank received the silver prize and Beckitt Benckiser grabbed the bronze prize. British American Tobacco led the Best Graduate Recruitment Programme category with the gold award and was followed by Maybank that received the silver prize. Alliance Bank and Nestlé proudly shared the bronze award. Meanwhile, HSBC was the recipient of the gold award for the Best Staff Referral Programme and British American Tobacco won the silver award.

The Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 in Hong Kong witnessed ANZ Banking Group receiving the gold prize of Best Regional Recruitment Programme, GroupM for the silver award, and SAP SE for the bronze award. Sino Group was the gold winner in the Best Graduate Recruitment Programme category, followed by Telstra International, the silver winner, and DBS Bank, the bronze winner.

“The awards for recruitment programmes will be given to recruitment efforts and hiring strategies that help organisations stay competitive and relevant,” said Evon Yew, regional producer at Human Resources magazine. “Asia Recruitment Awards 2017 will consisently look for innovation and results during evaluation of entries.”

The list of past Asia Recruitment Awards winners is filled with the most reputable companies in Asia: British American Tobacco, EPS, Forefront International, GroupM, Hewlett Packard, HSBC, IHS Global, Intel, Jobstreet, ManpowerGroup, Maybank, Media Prima, Merck Sharp &Dohme, Randstad, SAP and many more.
