The HRO team wishes you a joyous and meaningful Deepavali 2026!

Dear Reader,

Some occasions are best enjoyed with the people who make them special. Deepavali is one of them.

From the glow of oil lamps and colourful decorations to the familiar aroma of festive cooking and the sound of loved ones catching up, the Festival of Lights brings plenty of reasons to come together.

Also known as Diwali, Deepavali is widely celebrated by Hindus and is associated with the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. The occasion also holds religious significance for Sikh and Jain communities, each with their own traditions and interpretations.

Across countries commemorating it, the celebrations bring a special vibrancy to homes and neighbourhoods. From colourful kolam designs and illuminated spaces to prayers, festive meals, and visits with family and friends, there are many ways people mark the occasion.

At Human Resources Online, we see festive occasions as a reminder that meaningful connections are built in the little moments. It could be making time for a family gathering, checking in on someone you have not spoken to in a while, sharing a meal, or simply taking a well-deserved pause from the usual routine.

And while the lights and decorations may be part of what makes Deepavali special, it is often the people and memories behind them that stay with us.

So, to everyone celebrating, and those who are not but would still soak in the vibes, we hope you get to enjoy the things that matter most this festive season. May there be good food on the table, familiar faces around you, plenty of laughter and new memories to carry into the months ahead.

The unofficial Deepavali checklist:

  • Outfit ready?
  • Festive snacks and sweets stocked up?
  • Family gathering plans sorted?
  • Room for just one more murukku?
  • Ready to enjoy the celebrations?

All of us at Human Resources Online wish you and your loved ones a bright, beautiful, and joyful Deepavali!

Much love,
The HRO team
