The 10 scariest jobs in the world

Apparently looking death in the eye is tamer than being a politician in the United States.

Spanning across numerous industries, a new CareerBuilder poll of 3,103 American workers chose being a politician as the most "frightful" job ever.

Attributing its chill-inducing nature to the amount of responsibility and accountability it entails, the poll also found a stand-up comedian, kindergarten teacher or even a parent is just as scary to some people as being a stunt person, crime scene investigator or mortician.

Mortician made the list given the job revolves around dead people - ditto for crime scene investigator - and no doubt thanks to the current Ebola scare, the very topical jobs of microbiologist for infectious diseases also ranked in the list.

The report also surveyed the salary figures of the select few who have the stomach and the nerves to actually pursue the above jobs.
