The 10 best jobs for women in 2015

Human resources manager, advertising and promotions manager, and biomedical engineer are some of the best jobs for women this year.

This is according to CareerCast's list of the 10 best jobs for women this year, which used data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to look at the percentage of women in certain fields, and how those numbers have grown over recent years.

Offering a median annual wage of $99,720, human resources manager was found to be one of the best jobs for female professionals in 2015, with a projected growth outlook of 12%.

Advertising and promotions manager also emerged as a favourite, with women constituting 58% of such professionals in the country, according to the report.

Interestingly, jobs in STEM fields were highlighted as being the best for women, despite being notorious for lacking in gender diversity.

"Because technological jobs are such a bedrock of the 21^st century economy, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) employers would be wise to meet growing demand through the active hiring of more women," Tony Lee, publisher of CareerCast said.

For example, biomedical engineering was identified as a field in which women are having a much more profound impact than in other STEM fields, especially since women make up 39% of graduates in biomedical engineering.
