Thailand’s upcoming special holidays: 19 and 20 November

Thailand’s Ministry of Labour has reminded employers that 19 and 20 November 2020 have been set as special holidays in the country, as announced in September by the Tourism and Sports Minister.

This would, as a result, provide four days of holiday to thus encourage domestic tourism, the Ministry noted in a Facebook post.

Apart from this, employers should also be aware of the following changes to the list of 2020 holidays in Thailand:

  • Monday, 7 December 2020 will be made a compensatory holiday to create a long weekend.
  • A compensatory holiday will also be given on Friday, 11 December, to thus create a longer weekend from 10th to 13th December, as 10 December (Thursday) is Constitution Day.
