PETRONAS announces senior management changes

PETRONAS has announced Md Arif Mahmood would be succeeding Datuk Wan Zulkiflee as executive vice president & CEO of downstream business with effect from 16th April 2015.

Prior to this appointment, Mahmood was senior vice president, corporate strategy and risk. He joined PETRONAS in 1984 as trainee engineer and has held various senior managerial roles since then.

Taking over Md Arif Mahmood's place is Adif Zulkifli, previously the vice president of Malaysia Petroleum Management.

Joining PETRONAS in 1993, he has also held several senior roles in the company.

"The Board of Directors congratulates these gentlemen on their appointments, and is confident that respective portfolios will achieve greater successes under their leadership," PETRONAS said in a statement.

Muhammad Zamri Jusoh, previously the head of strategy and new ventures for upstream strategy and risk, will be taking over Adif Zulkifli's place as the vice president of Malaysia Petroleum Management.

Jusoh joined the company in 1991 as production technologist.

The statement also announced a few other new appointments which will be effective from 1 May this year.

"Zakaria Kasah, currently the vice president & CEO Malaysia LNG, will be appointed as vice president, technology & engineering. Dzafri Sham Ahmad, currently senior general manager of Malaysia LNG will succeed Zakaria on the same date," the statement said.
