Oakwood Studios Singapore signs on as HR Vendors of the Year 2016 sponsor

Leading serviced apartment provider Oakwood Studios Singapore has signed on as a sponsor of the HR Vendors of the Year Awards, the only regional awards programme dedicated to recognising and celebrating the achievements of HR services providers. The award winners will be announced at the gala dinner, which is happening in Singapore on 24 November, in Malaysia on 29 November, and in Hong Kong on 1 December.

Oakwood Studios Singapore will be presenting trophies to the winners of two prestigious categories: “Best Relocation Company” and “Best Mobility & Orientation Consultant”.

“Other than the logistical challenges in relocation, assisting relocated staff in settling down in their new city and getting back to work with minimal disruption is of utmost importance,” said Sharon Seong, General Manager of Oakwood Studios Singapore.

“From housing, transport to dependents’ education, selecting the right partner is crucial," she added.

The winner of the “Best Relocation Company” category will be the relocation firm which both delights expatriate employees and reduces the administrative burden on its clients’ HR and mobility departments. For the “Best Mobility & Orientation Consultant” category, the winner will exemplify the company’s ability to prepare the relocated manager and his/her family for changes in culture, take care of immigration administration and tax issues and provide advice on legal requirements, amongst other things.

Catering to travellers with a millennial mindset who are seeking to seamlessly alternate between work and leisure, the brand-new serviced residence, Oakwood Studios Singapore, located in the Orchard Road neighbourhood, features 98 units of stylish studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments. With quirky designs and dotted with little elements of surprise, the curated spaces for creators come complete with a fully equipped kitchen and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, in addition to a rooftop swimming pool, barbeque, gym and Residents’ Lounge.

Only HR vendors shortlisted in the survey rankings were invited to submit their entries. Apart from being awarded at the prestigious gala reception dinner in November and in December, the winners will be featured in the print edition of Human Resources magazine and across its media platforms. The HR Vendors of the Year Awards jury is composed of over 60 regional heads of HR from around Asia, representing the most respected Fortune 500 organisations and some of the biggest employers in the region.
