MBSB welcomes Iskandar Shah Zulkarnain as Group Chief People Officer

With over 20 years of experience, the CHRO will focus on building a resilient, inclusive and high-performing culture that will align with MBSB’s business goals.

MBSB has appointed Iskandar Shah Zulkarnain as Group Chief People Officer, effective 15 January 2026. Bringing over 20 years of leadership experience across banking, financial services and multinational organisations, he will lead the Bank’s people strategy with a strong focus on building a resilient, inclusive, and high-performing culture aligned with MBSB’s business ambitions, supported by technology and innovation.

Prior to this appointment, Iskandar was as Chief Human Resources Officer at Bank Islam Malaysia, having previously held senior HR roles including HR Director at Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia and Head of Human Resources at HSBC Amanah.

Alongside the CHRO's appointment, MBSB Bank also welcomed Azhar Syarawi Mohamed Mokhtar as Group Chief Credit Officer, a leader who brings over 27 years of banking and credit risk experience to strengthen the Bank’s credit management and risk governance.
