HR practitioner appointments

Vinay SP joins XSEED Education in senior HR capacity

Singapore-based teaching provider XSEED Education has appointed Vinay SP, previously Director at Influence Solutions, to the role of Head of Talent Management. He is based in Bengaluru. He comes to the role with more than 18 years of experience in HR, having worked across India, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and his passion lies in enabling people and organisations to grow.


JUUL Labs engages Fiona Geddes as Senior Director - People, APAC Fiona Geddes has moved into a role with e-cigarette manufacturer, JUUL Labs, after having worked with Toll Group most recently as Executive Vice President - HR. In her new role as Senior Director - People, APAC, she continues to be based in Singapore. Prior to her tenure with Toll Group, Geddes worked with British American Tobacco for over eight years, where her most recent role was HR Director - Malaysia. Her specialties lie in business transformation, organisation design, and more.


DN Prasad joins GovTech in regional talent lead role

Singapore's public service sector has welcomed DN Prasad to his new role as Senior Director; Strategy, People and Organisation at Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech). In this role, he will report to the Chief Executive, Ping Soon Kok, and will oversee corporate strategy, people & organisation, and organisation transformation.

Prasad (or, DNP as he is known as in professional circles) is based in Singapore, and affirms that he is most grateful for the opportunity to create an impact and play a role in nation building, as shared with to Human Resources Online.

Prior to his most recent experience with his entrepreneurial venture with NoÄ“tic Step, he has previously served as Director and Head of Google People Services for APAC.


HR solutions provider appointments

Tata Consultancy Services welcomes Ellis Yap

India-based IT MNC Tata Consultancy Services has engaged Ellis Yap, as Head of HR for ASEAN countries. In this role, her priority is to create the transformation journey to align the people agenda to strategic business goals, to bring value to the business, as shared with Human Resources Online.

She has worked extensively with globally diverse teams through her regional and global strategic tenures in Hewlett-Packard Inc, Software Professional Services & Support, and more. Subsequently, she was Head of HR in HPI, Malaysia. Prior to this, she was also Head of HR for Lenovo Technology, Malaysia.


Glints hires Ex-ADP Head of Sales as Enterprise Sales Lead

SEA-based tech-enabled recruitment and career development platform, Glints, has hired Jason Ryan as Enterprise Sales Lead. In this role, he will help Singapore and Hong Kong-based companies execute their digital transformation programmes by building up strategic tech talent hubs in Indonesia and Vietnam.

He brings more than 15 years of experience in the HR industry through his previous roles at Taleo and the most recent one as Head of Sales, Southeast Asia, for ADP. He said: "Through Glints' large network of talent in Indonesia and Vietnam, I look forward to helping more enterprises in Singapore and Hong Kong solve their technology manpower issues by building strategic offshore technology hubs in these countries to scale their technology teams effectively."

Oswald Yeo, CEO of Glints, added: "(Jason's) understanding of the talent challenges faced by companies in this increasingly complex environment coupled with his ability to build long-standing relationships will allow our clients to scale their technology teams effectively."


Annie Lim joins Citrix as APJ Head of Talent & Diversity

After more than a decade in the healthcare life sciences industry, Annie Lim has moved into the technology space - effective June 2019, she has joined Citrix as APJ Head of Talent & Diversity. In this role, she is part of the global HR team to shape talent acquisition strategies, wire up diversity and inclusive practices for promoting enhanced EVP brand reputation, and power up talent engagement to evolve culture transformation.

Sharing her excitement over this opportunity to leverage her healthcare experiences with technology, Annie spoke to Human Resources Online on her top priorities for the first year. "My top priorities will be focusing on talent pipeline needs in Asia as well as to strengthen our employer brand and diversity inclusion strategies across APJ."

Annie comes to the role with over 20 years of HR experience in talent management & acquisition, HR transformation, and building up CoEs. In her most recent remit, she was Global Lead - Diversity & Inclusion at global French pharmaceutical company, Sanofi, where she was credited with catalysing gender balance, embedding D&I into human capital strategy, and more. She has also worked with GSK, Pall Life Sciences, and Adecco/Lee Hecht Harrison.


Mathias Saleborn Joins BridgeStreet as Managing Director of EMEA & APAC

BridgeStreet, a provider of extended-stay business travel solutions, has appointed Mathias Saleborn as Managing Director of EMEA & APAC. In this role, Saleborn will be responsible for the strategic oversight, implementation, and execution of Bridgestreet’s EMEA and APAC operations, sales, and supply partner relationships.

Kamal Advani, CEO of BridgeStreet, commented: "Mathias brings to BridgeStreet a strong hospitality industry background with a successful track record in strategic revenue management. With his vast geographic experience, he is ideally suited to managing our EMEA and APAC business.

He previously served as a Director at Luxury Hotel Partners where he led the successful execution of sales, revenue, marketing, communications and brand strategy within the managed portfolio. Saleborn also served as a Director at The Leading Hotels of the World.


Microsoft welcomes Su-yin Yam as Consumer and Device Sales (CDS) leader in Asia

Su-yin Yam will join Microsoft as the new leader for CDS in the Asia region starting 1 November 2019. In this role, she will lead Microsoft's CDS & Marketing teams across Asia driving regional growth strategy, people management and organisational capability to accelerate Microsoft's Intelligent Edge opportunity.

Su-yin Yam joins Microsoft from HP, where she spent more than two decades holding various roles across the region, where she was most recently Regional Business Group VP of Retail and Consumer Personal System Category in the APJ and Greater China market.
