May this Aidiladha bring moments of reflection, compassion, and togetherness to you and your loved ones.
Dear Reader,
As Muslims around the world observe Hari Raya Haji this week (27 and 28 May), we at Human Resources Online would like to extend our warmest wishes to all our Muslim readers, partners, and friends across the region. May this meaningful occasion bring you and your loved ones peace, reflection, and moments of togetherness.
Also known as Eid al-Adha or Aidiladha, this meaningful occasion is marked on the 10th day of Zulhijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar. It also coincides with the completion of the Hajj pilgrimage — a deeply significant journey of faith, humility, and devotion.
At the heart of Eid al-Adha is the story of Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience and trust in God. In remembrance of this, many Muslims take part in Qurban, or Korban, where livestock is sacrificed and the meat is shared with family, neighbours, and those in need.
Beyond the traditions, Hari Raya Haji is also a time to pause — to reflect on sacrifice, generosity, and the importance of caring for one another.
To all who are observing, may this blessed occasion bring peace to your heart, joy to your home, and unity to your community.
Selamat Hari Raya Haji from us, to you!
With love and warmth,
The HRO team
