Diversity is a winning strategy

Workforce diversity is a major concern for organisations today - and the human resources function is mainly responsible for the policies and programmes surrounding workforce inclusion and equality.

Given the increasingly blurred lines between borders in a globalised world, the best organisations know their workforce needs to be representative of this, and understanding employees' diverse needs and wants will only positively impact business profitability.

While challenging to juggle, diversity in the workplace has been proven to pay off in the form of increased productivity and innovation, which often results in boosted engagement and overall more satisfied workforce.

At Malaysia's upcoming Human Resources Excellence Awards 2014, the Excellence in Employee Diversity Strategies category will award the HR team which has shown the most effort and tangible results from leveraging and utilising a diverse workforce.
