The quest to naming this year’s movers and shakers in Asia’s recruiting scene intensifies. Asia Recruitment Awards, the only regional awards show which recognises and celebrates Asia’s talent acquisition and recruitment champions, will identify the most outstanding campaigns, resources, and teams across the region with the help of its renowned judges.

The latest additions to the jury line-up are senior HR executives from major companies, such as Citibank, FGV, Nestlé, Ritz-Carlton and Yahoo.

“The Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 jury is looking for in-house recruiters and recruitment agencies with exceptional accomplishments which value results, industry standards, and of course people,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.

“Evaluating the entries are judges who are known and experienced HR practitioners and recruitment specialists representing major organisations and international companies across Asia Pacific.”

Here are some of the latest names added to the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 jury:

Gina Ong’s experience as senior consultant and researcher across various recruitment and executive search agencies attests her credibility and leadership in the field of recruitment.

Ong was appointed head of recruitment for Citibank in 2014 and has performed local and regional roles within the company since 2013. Before joining Citi, Ong worked as a partner and head of the banking technology practice at Boyden Global Executive search.

Felda Global Ventures’ (FGV) success in acquiring and retaining top talent can be attributed, at least in part, to Syed Azzahari.

He joined the company as administration manager in 2008 and then held various roles in HR, such as planning and recruitment, training and development, employee welfare, compensation and benefits and employee communication.

Today, he is now the current head of staffing for FGV. Azzahari holds a degree in accounting and finance and has significant experience in the fields of accounting, finance and corporate planning.

The major change Nicholas Dhillon has brought to Nestlé was introducing talent acquisition through social media & lean methodology in the recruitment process.

Before becoming Nestlé’s head of talent acquisition, Dhillon worked at Manpower as a consultant in 2005 and was promoted to key account manager in 2008. In 2010, Dhillon joined the HP family as senior staffing advisor progressing leadership roles within HP and KPMG.

With over 17 years of professional experience, Mark Fletcher is now the director of human resources at the Ritz-Carlton group.

Before the role, he worked as assistant director of human resources, overseeing HR operations at the company’s Talent Acquisition & Retention Centre, Talent Engagement Centre, and Talent Learning & Development Centre.

Fletcher also worked at the Fullerton Hotel as training & organisational effectiveness manager. As an HR practitioner, Fletcher prioritises giving personalised assistance to the internal and external customers of the organisations.

Yahoo’s head of human resources, Connie Chan, prefers working closely with employees and enjoys leading CSR programmes. She carries over 13 years of experience in HR management, talent acquisition and consulting in Asia Pacific.

Her most outstanding accomplishments are in change management, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness and workforce management in leading technology companies and investment banks.
