BreadTalk Group and Kerry Taste & Nutrition on winning at the Asia Recruitment Awards

Back for its sixth edition, the region's highly-anticipated Asia Recruitment Awards (ARA) 2020, Singapore will commemorate Asia's most successful in talent acquisition.

Ahead of the awards in Singapore on 24 April this year, Human Resources Online's Rebekah Priya talks to two winners from 2019's edition - BreadTalk Group (BTG) and Kerry Taste & Nutrition - as they share their experience of participating in the Awards.

Q. Why did you choose to participate in Asia Recruitment Awards?

BreadTalk Group (BTG): ARA has a full suite of in-house award categories that covers all aspects of the employee life-cycle. This drives HR practitioners who are keen to participate to reflect upon their HR strategies to showcase, or to further refine the key areas crucial to their organisation.

Kerry Taste & Nutrition (Kerry): Entering ARA was a great experience as it made us reflect upon what we had accomplished internally that led to positive outcomes, and it was even better to have that sense of external recognition.

Q. How was your experience like at #AsiaRecruitmentAwards?

BTG: We entered into two award categories in 2019 - Best Employee Branding and Most Innovative and Sustainable Office Design. This provided us with the opportunity to showcase our people initiative programmes in Singapore and the region.

The Most Innovative and Sustainable Office Design category was a unique award category, which provided a glimpse into the design vision our founders and senior management had for BTG IHQ had which aligned with the office facilities.

Kerry: It was a really fun night! We invited members of the wider HR team to come and enjoy the evening with us, and we were thrilled and proud to have received the awards.

Q. How has participating in ARA benefited your company?

BTG: Our participation in the ARA has strengthened our conviction to continuously improve and build on our core HR vision for our employees. This award has given us the boost to continue to build on our employer branding efforts, to shape BTG as a great place to work in the F&B industry.

Kerry: We received lots of exposure and recognition globally! It was a great boost for progression. We also feel that when we were dealing with candidates day in and day out, this platform caused them to have that extra level of confidence that we are professional in our approach and it’s great to be able to let them know that we are considered one of the best.
