After being titled as the best place to work in the world in 2015, Google has now proven its popularity with professionals in Asia as well, emerging as the best organisation to work for in Asia.
Great Place to Work’s inaugural list of Asia’s best workplaces surveyed responses of 60 organisations in the region, and analysed their workplace trust, pride and camaraderie levels, among other factors.
The report found the top companies to work for spent approximately 95 hours on training, and 25% of their management team members were women. It also highlighted the average rate of absenteeism was 3% for these companies.
"Our research into the best workplaces in Asia shows that employee trust levels have been rising in recent years in a solid majority of the nations in which we operate across the region," the report stated.
"Asia’s best also are part of a wider global trend toward higher levels of workplace trust at the best workplaces. This positive development is rooted in a number of factors. These include the rise of balance-minded Millennials, increased transparency into organisations, and mounting evidence that high-trust cultures lead to better business results."
Marriott was awarded the second best place to work in Asia this year, followed by Ericsson and American Express.
