Responding to jet fuel price movements due to the Middle East situation, Cathay Pacific has announced a reduction in fuel surcharges across its short-, medium-, and long-haul flights, effective 16 May 2026.
For routes between the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, fuel surcharge levels will remain unchanged.
Cathay said it will continue reviewing fuel surcharges every two weeks – an increased frequency introduced as a temporary measure in response to the volatile jet fuel prices. The airline added that it will reassess this approach once the situation in the Middle East stabilises.
