What is the point of asking job candidates bizarre interview questions?

Although they can often seem like a trick, some experts say a weird and wacky line of questioning can tell the interviewer thing about the candidate which could not otherwise be determined, such as how they handle unexpected situations and obscure problems.

They are also telling as to how creative a candidate is, which can often give an indication of whether they are a good culture fit for the company.

However, others in the field say obscure questions are only asked because the Google-esque idea is popular, and in fact, they don’t tell you all that much about a candidate.

Whether you like them or not, thanks to Glassdoor, you can see what sort of questions other organisations are expecting their interviewees to answer.
