HR job moves this week from Shell, CIMB, Le Meridien, and more

Here are the major promotions and job moves in the world of HR for this week.

Brian Baharin changes roles at Shell Previously the HR advisor, projects and technology, global functions at Shell business operations, Baharin's new designation is now HR advisor, integrated gas and upstream in the company. He will continue to be based in Malaysia for his latest role, which came into effect this month.

Yos Rizal Setiawan relocates to Singapore As of June this year, Setiawan will be operating from Singapore under the capacity of 3M's head of HR for Asia supply chain and manufacturing and asia employee relation COE leader. Prior to this role, he was working as 3M Indonesia's country HR leader and director.

Andy Chan KC leaves CIMB Previously working as CIMB's manager, learning and development, group HR, Andy Chan KC is now AIA's senior manager, learning and development as of June 2016. Speaking to Human Resources, Chan said his top aim at AIA is "to uplift employees' core capabilities through competency-based development initiatives". He is based in Malaysia.

Sonia Chan gets promoted As Volkswagen Hong Kong's senior human resources officer, Chan's new appointment was made official in June of this year. She was previously the firm's human resources officer, and had joined the organisation in 2013. She operates from Hong Kong.

Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin welcomes Amy Ho Based in Hong Kong, Ho is now Hyatt's director of human resources. Her appointment came into effect on May 2016. Ho was previously working under the same designation at Eaton, Hong Kong, where she worked for a period of five years.

Ramyah Arasu joins Shell Having previously worked with Adventa as a talent acquisition specialist, Arasu's new role at Shell is recruitment advisor as of June 2016. Continuing to be based in Malaysia for this role, Arasu has also had experience working in HRnet One as a recruitment consultant.

Wyndham Hotel Group greets Sherine Chua Based in Singapore, Chua is now the hotel's director of human resources for South East Asia. She will oversee the full spectrum of human resources for the business including talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development for the group’s corporate office. She joins the group from her last appointment as cluster director of human resources for two Hotel Jen properties.

Lyle Andrews' new role at Apple As of May 2016, Andrews is part of Apple's corporate recruiting, RPAC team. Based in Japan, he leads a team which manages Apple's talent ecosystem across North East Asia, South East Asia and ANZ. His previous designation at the firm was recruiting manager, Northeast Asia.

Paul Sunderland moves out of Singapore As Amcor's new director HR, Western Europe, Sunderland has relocated to Switzerland as of June 2016. His previous designation was director HR, Asia at Amcor - a company which he has been part of since 2010.

Braun Medical Industries promotes Sarina Ismail Since April 2016, Ismailis fulfilling the role of the firm's director human resources, Workforce Management. Previously working as the firm's senior manager, human resources, Ismail continues to be based in Malaysia for the role.

OCBC Bank's expands its HR analytics team Having moved on from working at the HR data analytics and project management office at the Micron Technology, Daniel Kusmanto is now part of OCBC Bank's HR analytics team. His new position came under effect June 2016, and he operates from Singapore.

Kathy Kwok is now part of The Hoffman Agency Leaving Burson-Marsteller, where she was the regional HR manager, Asia Pacific, Kwok joins Hoffman as the firm's senior human resources manager, APAC. Her appointment comes into effect as of June 2016. She continues to be based in Hong Kong for her new role.

Le Meridien Putrajaya adds Alison Hiew to its corporate directory Hiew is, since June 2016, the training manager (complex) at Le Meridien Putrajaya & Four Points by Sheraton Puchong. Based in Malaysia, she was previously working as a Senior Associate and Trainer at D Jungle People.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Tuhina Panda moves out of Right Management Panda is, as of June 2016, part of CogitoHub's team and is working as the firm's senior manager, client management and product development in India. "It is a passion for enabling education in India that has helped me make the move," Panda told Human Resources.

Robert Walters greets a new consultant As of April 2016, Amy Wong is part of Robert Walters' team as consultant - transactional services (procurement and supply chain). Operating from Hong Kong for the role, Wong's previous designation was operations officer, CEO team, corporate at Li & Fung.

Shweta Ohri gets promoted Previously working as associate consultant at Morgan McKinley, Ohri is, as of June 2016, the firm's consultant. She continues to be based in Singapore for her new role. Prior to her stint at Morgan McKinley, Ohri was working at Morpho.

Andree Mangels shifts out of Singapore Having left Talent2, Mangels is now working as Adecco Vietnam's general director since June 2016. Now based in Vietnam, Mangel's new role seem him overseeing all business activities and operations of the Adecco Group in Vietnam.

VHR Consultancy brings on board Hendrik Gunawan Previously working with Kelly Engineering Resources as the firm's consulting manager, Gunawan is now VHR's country manager. He continues to operate from Indonesia for the role. His new appointment came into effect June this year.

Fennie Chong rises up the ranks at Korn Ferry Chong is, as of June 2016, a managing associate at Korn Ferry. Prior to that, she was fulfilling the responsibilities of a senior associate at the organisation. Based in Malaysia, she joined the company in 2006.

Adecco Malaysia names a new consulting manager Based in Malaysia, Serene See's previous role was assistant branch manager at Adecco. As consulting manager, she told Human Resources her top priority this year is "to penetrate more multi-national corporations and SMEs" in order to "help employers find the most suitable talents". Her new appointment came into effect June 2016.

Lynne Sit is now with Alexander Mann Solutions As of June 2016, Sit will be operating under the capacity of the firm's client services manager, Rolls-Royce. Based in Singapore, her previous stint was at DKSH, where she was the senior manager, resourcing and talent acquisition APAC.

Korn Ferry Hay Group assigns a new role to Lauren Gardner Based in Singapore, Gardner's latest designation is client partner at the firm. Her new appointment comes under effect June this year. Prior to this role, she was working as a associate director, manager, Asia MNC Business in the company.

Talon Consulting appoints a consulting director Bernard Neo is, as of June 2016, part of Talon Consulting's team. Based in Singapore, he was previously with P-Serv and was fulfilling the responsibilities of manager, business operations at the company. Neo has also worked with finexis advisory and IPP Financial Advisers.

Bhavana Preet is part of Unity Technologies As of June 2016, Bhavana Preet's new designation at Unity Technologies is technical recruiter. Operating from Singapore, she was previously working under the capacity of a managing consultant at Sciente International.
