One month's special pay for Selangor's state civil staff on Aidilfitri

Selangor's Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has announced a special payment of one month's salary for 17,109 state civil servants, to be paid on 25 June, for the occasion of Aidilfitri.

The news was shared on Twitter by Selangor State Secretary, Datuk Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya:

Alhamdulillah.

According to Bernama's report, the payment involves a total sum of RM31.2 million.

Additionally, 755 civil servants of seven federal agencies in the state would be paid RM1,000 each, also on June 25. These agencies are the Legal Chambers' Office, Forestry Department, Public Works Department, Agriculture Department, Social Welfare Department, Syariah Judicial Department, and Drainage and Irrigation Department.

The announcement was made after attending a Ramadan event with civil servants.

At the event, Bernama quoted him as saying: "I have heard rumblings from federal officers in the state who feel that they have been marginalised while they work hard to develop Selangor with dedication and loyalty."

Also present at the ceremony were Selangor State Secretary Datuk Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya and state Financial Officer Datuk Azmie Diron.

Saya mengajak anggota perkhidmatan awam untuk terus berdaya maju dan membulatkan tekad untuk berkhidmat dengan tekun dan berintegriti. Failure is not an option dalam melaksanakan tugas kita untuk membangunkan negeri Selangor dan menjamin kesejahteraan rakyat. pic.twitter.com/j2rNdD374n
