The Hong Kong Labour Department has launched a pre-employment training programme to help secondary school graduates start their career. Running from May until August, the Career Let’s Go programme is expected to attract 34,000 participants.
The programme was launched on 9 May, and aims to enhance the employability of secondary school graduates who choose to directly enter the job market upon finishing school. Through a series of “multi-pronged” services, the programme is designed to help equip graduates with the right skills to help them devise a career plan and pursue their interests.
A series of diversified pre-employment training and employment services will be launched under “Career Let’s Go”, including job fairs, recruitment days, and training courses.
Additionally, the Labour Department has identified a large number of job vacancies suitable for secondary school graduates, which they can browse and apply for via the Career Let’s Go website.
