In a historic development, Malaysia's coalition of opposition parties, led by 92-year-old Mahathir Mohamad's Pakatan Harapan (PH - Alliance of Hope) party, has won the country's 14th general election. Accordingly, Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN), Tan Sri Ali Hamsa has declared additional public holidays in Malaysia.

Per the regulations, for states that observe Friday and Saturday as the weekend, then Sunday i.e. 13 May, will be the additional public holiday.
