Accordingly, Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN), Tan Sri Ali Hamsa has declared additional public holidays in Malaysia.

Per the regulations, for states that observe Friday and Saturday as the weekend, then Sunday i.e. 13 May, will be the additional public holiday.

“The declaration of the public holiday is made based on Section 8 of the Public Holidays Act 1951 for Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territory of Labuan,” according to a statement on Twitter.
