Arvato Systems Malaysia opens expanded and refurbished office space in Kuala Lumpur

Employees now have access to an expanded hub, open collaboration areas, an ideation room, and more.

Arvato Systems Malaysia recently reopened its office space in Kuala Lumpur following a refurbishment and renovation project. The expansion was carried out within the existing office situated on the 26th floor of the GTower.

Standing at 26,720sqft in total, the Arvato Systems Malaysia’s office space houses 230 employees. As part of the project led by The Instant Group, 15,963sqft underwent refurbishment while the additional 10,757 sq ft was given a new bespoke fit-out, completed in January 2024.

Split over two levels, the office now has an open concept and features a rustic interlinking staircase. By encouraging seamless movement and connectivity between the two levels, the structure acts as an integral part of the workspace to ensure flow between all spaces and staff. The existing office space on the 26th floor underwent renovations to enlarge the employee hub, convert selected meeting spaces into relaxation rooms and collaborative zones, and refresh the desk solutions by introducing more spacious workstations.

Simultaneously, the new setup on the 25th floor was configured to include novel training facilities, both informal and formal team meeting areas, along with a library space.

Some of the key new work and collaborative spaces in the Arvato Systems Malaysia office includes:

  • The expanded office hub: The communal kitchen/cafe features a large communal table, window-bench seating, gaming spaces and wide-open ceilings.
  • Open collaboration areas: Informal loose settings with different illumination levels, materials and themes that act as informal meeting spaces, for brainstorming sessions with moveable writing surfaces.
  • Projects rooms: Closed rooms designed for informal and formal meetings requiring visual privacy with integrated technology and writing surfaces included.
  • Ideation room: Space design for the creation and implementation of ideas. The informal and loose furniture, biophilia, and moveable writing boards offer a collaborative setting for employees versus a traditional training room set-up.
  • Power nap rooms: Acoustically dampened rooms featuring pods designed for relaxation and naps, providing a sanctuary for staff to escape their busy schedules and reset as needed.

Benjamin Dorsch, Managing Director, Arvato Systems Malaysia, commented: "Through carefully and creatively crafted office transformation, we’ve aligned our workplace with the evolving needs of our employees and organisation. Our vibrant and functional space, complete with a range of amenities, fosters collaboration, ideation, and creativity. It’s not just a workspace; it’s a canvas where talent thrives, and new talents are drawn."
