Are you underpaid? Hong Kong salary checklist 2018

閱讀中文版本

HR professionals in Hong Kong can expect much of the same in 2018 according to Robert Walter's annual salary survey as the HR market remained stagnant in 2017 and replacement hiring to fill vacancies accounted for most of the hiring in the sector.  Only a few industries were looking to expand their HR teams such as multinational insurance providers who hired specialists in employee relations, diversity and inclusion and leadership.

Businesses are increasingly hiring for short-term projects especially in HR and financial services where candidates are taking on contract roles in order to gain experience or technical knowledge. Contract hiring instead of filling permanent roles looks to be a popular trend in the HR industry and likely to become the norm in the future.

HR practitioners can expect very little in terms of increases and in some cases, salaries are projected to get less in 2018.
