Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has announced it plans to increase its headcount by 2,275 people in the fiscal year beginning April 2015.
This increase in headcount includes “Toyota Technical Skills Academy enrollees as well as mid-career hires,” Toyota’s media release stated.
By hiring skilled personnel as well as offering permanent positions to promising fixed-term technical employees, the automobile company stated it wishes to promote sustainable growth.
TMC also plans to continue to push for workplace diversity by hiring female staff for administrative and engineering positions. At the same time, it is also planning to set up a scholarship fund to encourage female students to pursue science-related fields in both their studies and future jobs.
