Murugappan Subramaniam is an advocate of value translation whereby a company’s vision is the leader’s dream which needs to be planned, prioritised and executed based on evidence-based decision making. He has worked with multinational corporations (MNCs) from diverse sectors as well as the public sector in a career spanning 24 years.
He became a researcher, thinker, teacher and guide by choice. He has worked towards polishing the leadership gem in himself. He is a lifelong learner who has spent more than 21 years following developments in HR, evidence-based management, big data, analytics, leadership, digital disruption – to name a few.
He has been an author of several articles that have been published in industry journals; and has presented successful HR interventions in technical meetings and symposiums.
His pro bono work with children, youth and NGOs has specifically focused on young talent development and embracing a thinking mindset.
As an educator, he has accumulated hours of experience in a variety of settings, from open and in-house training delivery to lecturing for open university e-MBA programmes. He is a certified professional member of WorldatWork, US (society for total rewards), British Psychological Society and Talent Economist, US.
He has tertiary qualifications in accounting and finance, complemented by certifications in global remuneration, occupational testing, process improvement, strategic planning, competency assessment and development, coaching and mentoring, talent economics, leadership development and succession strategist, agile performance management and strategic HR transformation.
