A Human Resources Summit isn’t like a normal conference so, whether this is the first conference you’ve ever attended or whether you’ve been to more than you care to remember, it’s not unusual for you to have questions about making your conference experience as smooth, enjoyable and productive as possible. We’ve written down the answers to many of them:

How do I confirm my attendance?

Following your decision (based on interest, availability and timing) of attending, please revert with your interest. We will send you a delegate registration form consisting of pertinent information that will go towards confirming your place.
Following this, we request you to proceed to book your air tickets to Phuket International Airport (HKT) early so you can secure competitive pricing and share the details.

Do I need to produce a ticket when I arrive at the conference?

No, it’s not essential to do so; we will have your name badge and welcome pack ready and waiting for all pre-registered delegates.

What should I bring with me?

Business cards and a smile are the most important things. Writing materials will be provided. As the event runs for several days, we advise bringing casual, dining and leisure clothes.

What should I wear?

The most important thing is that you’re comfortable. We recommend business attire or national dress, as this is most appropriate for the setting. Beach and sporting wear is prohibited during the event proceedings. During the evening functions, you may prefer to dress more casually. We will inform you of the setting of any function so that you can make an informed decision.

Where should I go when I arrive at the venue?

The first thing you need to do is check in. Once you have done that, you should collect your name badge and welcome pack at the event registration desk, which will be open from 12.00pm on the first day (10 Sep) of the event.

Will there be a cancellation fee if I’m unable to make it?

We really hope you won’t pull out of the event but, should it be unavoidable, there isn’t normally a penalty for doing so. You do, however, agree for us to recharge to you the hotel’s cancellation fee on occasions where we have already paid for your accommodation and where we cannot find a replacement for your room, but please be assured that we will always try to avoid doing this.

Will there be internet access?

Yes, complimentary internet access will be provided throughout the entire resort.

How’s best to get between the airport and the venue?

We recommend the local taxis and always advise agreeing on a fee in advance or ensuring there is a meter. You can also contact us and we will be happy to arrange for a pick­up service. The price of a one-­way transfer on a normal sedan car which sits a maximum of 3 passengers with luggage is Baht 1,650 (approx. SGD69.50) nett one way.

What is the check-in and check-out time at the hotel?

Standard check in time is 3.00pm and check out is 12.00pm. Should there be any request for early check in or late check out, it will be subject to availability. Additional charges from the hotel are likely to apply if you would like to guarantee the room for early check-in or late check­out.

Late check out from 12.00pm – 6.00pm will be charged at 50% of room rate.

Late check out after 6.00pm will be charged at 100% of room rate.

Is the submission of credit card details compulsory upon registration to the event?

Yes, it is. We require your credit card details to secure the room, but no charges will be made at the point of submission. Upon checking out of the hotel you will only be charged for any additional hotel services or consumables you may have used.

What types of credit card will be acceptable?

All major credit cards are acceptable. Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.

What type of room is provided?

All rooms provided by Human Resources are Deluxe Lagoon rooms. Once you send us your flight booking, we will proceed to block out a room on your name. You will receive the booking voucher one month to the event.
If you would like to upgrade to a different style of room, we would be happy to arrange this for you. Any upgrade will be subject to availability and additional charges.

What is the maximum occupancy per room?

The standard rooms (Deluxe Lagoon rooms) that we are providing could occupy a maximum of 2 people. Should you wish to have an additional bed, it will be chargeable at THB 1,500 (approx. SGD63) per night. This price includes buffet breakfast served from 6.00am to 10.00am every day.

Will there be any other charges?

All charges incurred for goods/services, F&B consumed outside of the main function venues and proceedings (provided by the hotel or outside) are at your own expense and you will be required to clear the bill upon departure. These include (but not limited to) spa services and leisure activities, room/housekeeping services, business centre services etc. These are based on your personal account with the hotel and are not connected to Human Resources.

Do I require a VISA to enter into Phuket? If yes, how do I apply?

Please note that a Visa-On-Arrival (VOA) may be required for some nationalities. Please refer online to http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/123/15398-Issuance-of-Visa.html for more information. The VOA application fee currently is Thai Baht 1,900.
