HR Practitioner Appointments

Anne Ang accepts new role as head of HR and administrationHaving been part of the HR industry since 2004, Anne Ang has been recruited by aviation and automotive group, Weststar Group of Companies to the role of head of HR and administration. She remains based in Kuala Lumpur. Previously, she has worked with Rozel Corporation as HR and administration manager, and with Hap Seng Consolidated as manager of HR services.

Muslim Nazari takes up new role at ServiceRocket in MalaysiaTenured with money transfer provider TransferFriend previously as HR manager, Muslim Nazari has taken up a new role in talent acquisition at software solutions provider ServiceRocket. He continues to be based in Kuala Lumpur. Prior experience includes stints at Be Lazee, GlassesGroupGlobal, CSC, among others.

Food and beverage major Rhombus Connexion recruits Alice YongBased in Selangor, Alice Yong is now HR manager at Rhombus Connexion, up from her past role as assistant manager HR at Segi Value Holdings, where she tenured for just over six years.

Genting Malaysia promotes assistant managerAfter being with Genting Malaysia for close to three years, Xi Yi Ooi has recently been promoted to assistant manager, industrial relations. Previously as its senior executive, Ooi had resolved an average of 600 cases related to employee’s disciplinary issues, misconducts and disputes referred by line managers from various departments per year. Not only that, she coached junior IRO in investigation and execution of disciplinary action or Domestic Inquiry; as well as provided training to supervisors in understanding the do’s and don’ts while handling disciplinary matters. She continues to be based in Malaysia.

Nestrade welcomes Balvinder SodhiJoining Nestrade, the global trading company withing the Nestlé Group, Balvinder Sodhi has been welcomed as recruitment partner in August 2017. Nestrade supports Nestlé operating companies in their quest to delight consumers by providing them with integrated trading solutions in a professional and cost effective manner while offering a platform for business development.

Prior to this, Sodhi was with Fortinet as recruiter on a contract basis for five months, where she partnered with region leaders and hiring managers to identify core competencies, key performance indicators, and candidate sourcing activities in order to recruit talent for Fortinet. Additionally, her role saw her promoting campus hiring and university relations. She continues to be based in Malaysia.

Bosch Malaysia appoints senior human resources business partnerChun Li Low has recently been appointed as senior human resources business partner at Bosch Malaysia. Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd, with offices located in Selangor and Penang. In Malaysia, Bosch is active in the areas of mobility solutions, industrial technology, consumer goods, and energy and building technology. Prior to Bosch, Low has been working with Resorts World Genting for about nine years where he was last appointed as assistant human resources manager. He is currently based in Malaysia.

Yee Fun Chan joins LuxasiaLuxasia in Malaysia has recently welcomed a new country lead, talent - Yee Fun Chan. Merging local knowledge with a global perspective, Luxasia has enabled over 120 of the world’s biggest beauty brands to successfully penetrate the Asian market through its consumer-centric go-to-market strategies and omni-channel distribution approach. It has a strong regional footprint of 11 offices and a team of more than 2,000 full-time employees. Chan comes as with experience as a human resources business partner with a demonstrated history of working in the retail, entertainment, advertising and IT industry. In fact, she graduated with bachelor degree focused in business administration from Universiti UCSI. Previously, she has worked with Astro, GroupM, and Fujitsu Malaysia. SHe is currently based in Malaysia.

Green Packet welcomes chief people officerFlorence Tan was recently appointed as chief people officer at Green Packet. Green Packet is a global architect of connectivity for fixed and mobile wireless networks. It has created many firsts in the industry, including the world’s first Multi Mode LTE and WiMAX Modems. Green Packet’s primary strength lies in its in depth market knowledge, which allows the company to tailor-made solutions based on local needs and delivers seamless connectivity for a connected lifestyle. It currently works with a client base of over 100 clients in more than 70 countries, and is the catalyst of success for many telecommunication providers. Prior to this, Tan was the head of HR at Novartis business services for more than two years. She continues to be based in Malaysia.


HR Solutions Provider Appointments

RGF HR Agent Singapore appoints James Miles as MDRGF HR Agent Singapore, a global brand of Recruit Holdings, has promoted James Miles to the role of managing director, effective 1 October 2017. Miles was formerly senior director at RGF, and he succeeds Jonathan Guilfoile as Singapore MD. On his promotion, Miles commented, “As we grow our footprint further within APJ and globally, we will continue to take a keen interest in improving the support customers receive across SEA, as many organisations will continue to have challenges and require further partnership in these exciting emerging markets.” Read more

Aisyah Othman announces advancement to FircroftRecruiting specialist Aisyah Othman has been appointed by technical engineering staffing firm Fircroft in the role of recruitment consultant, based in Kuala Lumpur. Bringing close to five years of HR experience to this role, Othman was previously with TecnimontHQC as HR analyst.

Liss Bong joins AdeccoIn August 2017, Liss Bong joined Adecco as team lead. Previously, Bong has worked with firms such as ACHIEVE Career Consultant as a senior consulting manager; as well as Crowe Horwarth Malaysia as a senior HR associate. In her role as a senior HR associate, her responsibilities included being involved in recruitment processes and other HR administration for tax and internal audit departments. Wong has worked with Adecco Personnel in a prior stint as well. She is currently based in Malaysia.

Enfintech hires senior recruitment specialistC. Malar has recently joined Enfintech in Malaysia as senior recruitment specialist. Coming with more than a decade of work experience, Malar has previously held various HR roles such as the head of operation, talent acquisition at Talent Recruitment and Consultancy. In that role, she was responsible for commercial business, productivity, reporting, marketing and advertising, as well as buying and selling. Additionally, she worked on implementing strategies to increase productivity so as to meet the sales targets. Other than that, she was also with Kelly Services from 2004 to 2008.

Patricia Lee promoted to senior consultantMichael Page has recently promoted Patricia Lee to senior consultant in August 2017. As part of Michael Page property and construction, she specialises in the recruitment of mid to senior, C-Level positions within the Malaysia region across a range of specialist functions such as facilities management, asset management, property management, leasing, property acquisition and disposal, interior design, and quatity surveying. She is currently based in Kuala Lumpur, and has been with Michael Page since 2015. Prior to this, she held the role of account manager at Innity.

Randstad Malaysia promotes Sruthi NambiarSruthi Nambiar has recently been appointed to manager, manufacturing, (Construction, Property & Engineering). Based in Malaysia, her current role sees her managing the manufacturing team across Malaysia. Specialising in recruiting hard to fill technical roles, she works together with chemical, OEM, FMCG and heavy industries to provide recruitment solutions and market updates. While she has been with Randstad Malaysia since 2015, Sruthi was previously working with Accord Infocom Solutions for close to two years where she served as a talent acquisition specialist.

AceTalent welcomes business directorAzari Kamal recently joined AceTalent in August 2017 as its business director. Previously known as HRS Management & Services, AceTalent is one of the most experienced staffing and HR services company providing temporary, contract and permanent position to clients in Malaysia and Singapore. Prior to this, Azari was with Adecco Malaysia for more than four years where his last appointment was an area manager. Other than that, Azari has also worked with Kelly Services from 2011 to 2012. He is currently based in Malaysia.
